Employment opportunities for Kansas graduates continue to rise

Employers say they expect to hire 10.2 percent more college graduates in 2012 than they did a year ago, according to a report conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

For example, officials at the University of Kansas say more employers are showing up at job fairs with lots more jobs to offer.

Not only are more companies posting jobs online, but they also are conducting more interviews on campus.  Surveys show college career services’ electronic bulletin boards averaged 116 postings per employer, up from 105 last year and 45 in 2010.  The Kansas City Star
