Great Plains Ventures investment is updating a Wichita warehouse
WICHITA, Kan. — Citing increased demand for warehouse space in Wichita, Great Plains Ventures is investing $1.3 million to refurbish an existing warehouse at 800 E. 37th St. The warehouse has been vacant for about five years.
Great Plains Ventures officials said that renovating the warehouse was more economical than building a comparable new facility. The reconditioned warehouse space will also allow the company to lease it at a lower price point than newer warehouse buildings. The warehouse is expected to reopen sometime in 2016.
